This is the smaller brother of the Tugger 1000. This ship uses the same engines to achieve superlative redundancy but has two instead of four engines. The Tugger 500 does have much roomier crew quarters than its bigger (and older) counterpart and can accommodate up to 25 people while the Tugger 1000 can only take 6. The Tugger 500 also has a much larger bridge and an impressive window compared to the Tugger 1000 cramped bridge and tiny windows. This is one of the design changes that were made to this model after getting experience of the Tugger 1000. The Tugger 500 has slightly less than half of the redundancy of its larger brother so it is more effective to use a single Tugger 1000 than 2 Tugger 500 boats to tow your fleet. See Tugger 1000 for a more detailed description about how Tuggers work. |
