Cartiien is a tactical bomber which is often used to make bomb runs on planetary bodies. It is particularly well suited for that task, because of its great atmospheric capabilities and agility. It only has two (typically) pulse lasers in front mounted slots, and two bomb bays which take 5 weapon spaces each and are able to carry maximum yield nuclear warheads. The Cartien has proven quite useful in a troop drop capacity, and it usually retrofitted for that job, sacrificing weapons and mobility for more passengers. The Cartien is very reasonably priced considering what you get, but the lack of mobility and long range sensors can make it a great target if it's out in the big black alone. FIXED |
